10/15/01: NO MORE

Internet bubble burst
Advertising market down
No more wild parties.
No more obscene signing bonuses.
No more expense accounts.
No more raises.
No more dreams.
No more loyalty.
No more Silicon Alley.
No more jobs.

World Trade Center Attack
No more nights of true rest.
No more looking at a plane without picturing it flying into a building.
No more looking at a tall building without picturing people falling out of a big burning hole.
No more going to work or coming home without showing ID.
No more going to Borders bookstore at the World Trade Center on weekends.
No more sitting on the patio of the World Financial Center, talking about where we should go dancing while watching roller bladers and kids go by.
No more movies at our movie theater.
No more getting cabs at the Embassy Hotel, or anywhere near by at all.
No more using the Towers to figure out which way I’m headed and how far from home I am.
No more seeing that awesome view of the Trade Center at night when I come home.
No more Greatest Bar On Earth.
No more trains from the World Trade Center.
No more Krispy Kreme after shopping at Century 21.
No more clothing stores.
No more shopping at all downtown.
No more post office.
No more beautiful neighborhood.
3000 families will see their loved ones no more.
No more peace.

Adjust
No more fear.
No more self-pity.
No more greed.

God is either everything, or else he is nothing.
Thy will be done, not mine.
Forever.
Amen.
